Fan Expo Dallas 2019

I had a FAN-tastic time at this past Fan Expo Dallas. FAN Expo Dallas is a 3-day event that was held from 3rd May to 5th May 2019 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas in Dallas. This event is the largest comics, sci-fi, horror, anime, and gaming event in Texas, quickly growing into one of the most significant events in North America. This year my daughter and I decided to be fangirls and finally get photo ops with our celeb crushes. The whole cast from the IT movie was in town, and she was star struck. And I, of course, love me some Zachary Levi from DC Comics movie Shazam! Ever since I have seen that movie and how amazing he did playing Shazam, I wanted to meet him. I was able to take my daughter to her first panel, which happens to be his and she loved it! But I think they highlight of the weekend was my gender-bending Miles Morales of Into the Spiderverse. I feel in love with that movie the minute I see it, and I knew I wanted to cosplay as him from the start. I found a great and not expensive suit from Amazon and added a few of “Mel” touches to give it my personality spin. I just loved how it turned out. I think this year’s Fan Expo Dallas was more significant than the previous year, bringing more celebs, bigger booths, artists, and panels. I can’t wait to see what next year brings. -xo Mel
