MEL'S Fav: 50 Best Logos Ever Book
I found this recent Friday Fav visiting my local Barnes & Noble on New Year's Day (one of my resolutions of 2014 – to read more books, or a book, or hell attempt to read a book). Browsing through magazine racks, I headed in the art section and there was this book – 50 best Logos Ever. As a designer this is definitely a must have reference book! With over 180 premium pages, the book explains the breakdown of the top 50 world's greatest logo design, the origin, reasons behind the design and the evolution of the logos.
The 50 Best Logos Ever is a definitive guide to the greatest identity work ever created. Even if you only have a passing interest in graphic design, it’s fascinating to see how a college student created the "Nike" logo for only 35 bucks, or how designer Milton Glaser designed the famous "I heart NY" logo in 1977 for the back of a taxi cab for zero dollars.
Ever wondered how the Starbucks logo started its life? Or what Shell's logo looked like in 1901? Then this is the book for you.
