Embracing the Arts - Bishop Arts District

After a Sunday fun day of being creative in Dallas, stumbled across a small arts festival in the Bishop Arts District in North Oak Cliff. Had to stop and check out what was happening. How amazing to see people just enjoying arts, chillaxing on the streets, listening to music and just enjoy the small things in life. Reminded me a lot of when I lived in New York. Loved the atmosphere that I had to share of few of the things I saw.  

Learned how to screen print real fast. Ok it was a pre-template, but made a great keepsake. Kuddos for LilCo Letterpress, a handmade custom business for doing this for practically for FREE (Support your local artists).

The Mariachi band entertained the crowd. Their outfits was on point. Just love the culture diversity.

Met these two artsy girls representing some awesome street style. Girl on the left actually owns a tavern down the street. 

Hello is anyone there ... Who remembers these phones? Vintage style. 

A few more things I got to experience. The Bishop Arts Winery on that corner had the best old school feel inside. I highly recommend to visit.

Bishop Arts District in North Oak Cliff is a cool place to chill, think and be artsy. That wall mural behind me is pretty amazing as well. I will be going back. Happy Wednesday!  -xo MEL
