A Day in the Life at Dallas Comic-Con

The 2014 Dallas Comic-Con was this past weekend and for my first time going it was amazing. Its underestimated how much the comic world trend has taken over. Once known as geek fest, or nerds unite, you can help but notice comic characters emerging in the fashion world, movie scenes and now its actually must attend conventions like comic con. The cosplay costumes were incredible and the details people put in their costumes was insane.

Over 50,000 people attended Dallas Comic-Con. There was so many artist booths, clothing, toys and meet and greets. Bringing in the actual actors from Back to the Future, Alice Cooper, Captain Marvel Stan Lee and more. This is just a glimpse of all me and my daughter got to see. It was such a fun event to attend.

House divided. One DC comics and one Marvel. Who will win this ultimate battle(evil laughter).  My money is on her. All she has to do is smile. Gotta love her passion for comics as much as her mommy. We had many photo opps that day.

Walls and walls of comics books.

Meet Amy & Michael. These two are my old coworkers. I can't believe from back in the days until now look how far we come. I couldn't be more proud of them. I mean look at the awesome artwork. I had to get that wonder woman print. Check his stuff out on michaelchampion.net as well as Amy's amazing pet portraits Pals By Numbers.

Amazing artwork by Greg Horn. Famous illustrator that has design most of the covers for Marvel. I own some now.

This little girl followed me around and asked her dad if she could take a picture with me, in which she came over and asked in her little voice. It was the sweetest thing. We both put on our mask on to "protect our identity". Me and her chit chatted for a minute and I told her to give me a high five because being a girl superhero is the BOMB!

Check out the awesome costumes we saw & more below. We might had geeked out just a little. Enjoy! -xo Mel
