Why so serious?! This past weekend I attended Dallas Fan Days at the Irving Convention Center with my daughter, Mariah.
Going to comic cons is turning into one of our favorite things to do together. This year I finally got her to get over her shyness and cosplay alongside me. She is a HUGE fan of Suicide Squad and obviously, for good reasons. One of our fondest memories was attending San Diego comic con this past summer with me as Katana being a part of a cosplay Suicide Squad lineup, then getting to meet the actual cast members from the movie. It was just an unforgettable moment. Since I love the Joker character, I decided to do a fashionista gender-bending twist to the character and my daughter dressed up as her favorite, Harley Quinn. It came out better than I expected. We had so much fun cosplaying and figuring how to DIY these characters’ costumes.
