What's a better way to wake up to a fresh cup of coffee with your own very "I Woke Up Like This" mug every morning. If Beyoncé can wake up like this, so can you. It's so simple, it's flawless.

What you need: White mug | Sharpie paint pen color of choice | An awesome selfie #myeverydaylifestyle

Just make sure you are holding the coffee mug steady as you write.

Take the sharpie and write out the words "I Woke Up Like This". I bought a second mug to having a matching pair and wrote "Flawless". I went over the same words twice to make sure it was bolder and thats it! Yep pretty flawless.

This is how I pretty much wake up everyday. (Just kidding). I staged this with my daughter. But if you ever listen to the lyrics of this song it really has a good meaning behind it. Here is just a glimpse:

We teach girls to shrink themselves
To make themselves smaller
We say to girls
"You can have ambition
But not too much
You should aim to be successful
But not too successful
Otherwise you will threaten the man"
Because I am female
I am expected to aspire to marriage
I am expected to make my life choices
Always keeping in mind that
Marriage is the most important
Now marriage can be a source of
Joy and love and mutual support
But why do we teach girls to aspire to marriage
And we don't teach boys the same?
We raise girls to each other as competitors
Not for jobs or for accomplishments
Which I think can be a good thing
But for the attention of men
We teach girls that they cannot be sexual beings
In the way that boys are
Feminist: the person who believes in the social
Political, and economic equality of the sexes

I just love this song. Its always on repeat with me and my daughter. Happy Monday! -x o Mel
